SS 904L/UNS NO8904 COIL
Adft904L's Stainless Steel 904L Coils are in high demand because of the material's exceptional weldability. Austenitic stainless steel Alloy 904L Coils are resistant to corrosion in both hot seawater and chloride attack. Field testing over a long period of time has shown that Alloy 904L Coils are resistant to corrosion when exposed to dilute sulfuric acid.
Flue gas purification and bleaching equipment in the pulp and paper industries are two common applications for stainless steel 904L coils. In terms of protection against crevice corrosion, 904L Coils are superior to both 304L and 316L steels. The 904L Coil is built to last, so it can tolerate being submerged in hot seawater and exposed to chlorine for extended periods of time.
Description
Due to 2205 duplex stainless steel's lower price and greater longevity, 904L stainless steel coils are now mostly being replaced by it. The versatile nature of 904L Stainless Steel Coils means they can be used in a wide variety of contexts. Alloy 904L Coils are exceptionally strong even when frozen solid because of their austenitic nature.
Reportedly excellent resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids is a hallmark of coils fabricated from alloy 904L. Alloy 904L Coils outperform other molybdenum-enhanced stainless steels like 316L and 317L.
Standard fusion and resistance welding methods can be used with Grade 904L Coils.
